Nike KD 6 All-Star “Illusion” Returns for Retro Release

After bringing back the KD 3 and KD 4 in recent years, Nike is now prepping a retro run of Kevin Durant’s sixth signature shoe, the KD 6.

This upcoming retro lineup will include the return of the “All-Star” colorway, aka “Illusion,” which Durant wore during his fifth All-Star Game appearance. Originally released in 2014, this colorway debuted alongside the LeBron 11 “Gator King” and Kobe 9 Elite “Maestro” as part of Nike Basketball’s “NOLA Gumbo League” collection, celebrating the All-Star Game in New Orleans.

The “Illusion” colorway nods to New Orleans’ mysterious history, interwoven with stories of voodoo, ghosts, and other supernatural elements. Not everything is what it first appears to be in New Orleans. Similarly, Durant defies the perception of a near seven-footer—an illusion in his own right. Celebrating the magic of KD’s versatility, the KD VI “Illusion” features hand-drawn patterns on the upper that emulate Durant’s fluidity on the court. A glow-in-the-dark outsole adds a final touch, representing the “spark” of KD’s game.

As first reported by Sneaker Market RO and Brandon1an, the upcoming KD 6 retro run will also include the return of the “PB&J” colorway, originally released in 2013.

The Nike KD 6 All-Star “Illusion” is set to return for NBA All-Star Weekend 2026, releasing via SNKRS and select retailers. Check out the original below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
