The Nike Air Force 1 UV Changes Color in the Sun
While white Air Force 1s are a mainstay of practically any summer wardrobe, Nike is set to symbolize the thaw of winter into the heat with new UV editions that change colors in the sun.
At first glance, the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low UV is an all-white pair with an icy blue outsole and lace deubre. Hints of pink near the pair’s heel, however, reveal its true function: in sunlight, the model transforms entirely into a playful fuschia, purple, yellow, and blue colorway. A light blue toe panel and purple Swoosh/eyestay combo sit over a golden yellow toe box and side paneling, while a fuschia heel and powder-blue heel tab radiate color in the sun.
Nike is also releasing a more subtle version of the Air Force 1 UV. This second option features a white tumbled leather upper with UV activity limited to the Swoosh and heel panel. In this version, the Swoosh turn powder blue in the sun while the heel panel turns purple.
The model is likely to come just in time for the season’s warm weather, but an official release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Low UV is currently under wraps. In the meantime, you can check out photos of the shoe in both forms down below.
