NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 Pack Inspired by Old-School Hip-Hop
NIGO and Nike are back with the third chapter of their Air Force 3 collaboration. Following the release of the Super Sentai-inspired “Escape Force” pack and the Planet of the Apes-themed “Ape Force” colorways, the Human Made general is now dropping two more styles inspired by his love of old-school hip-hop and crate-digging culture.
Dropping in Black/Chrome and White/Gold, these Air Force 3 Lows evoke the textures of ’80s rap, vinyl, and turntables in their construction. Croc-embossed leather is paired with blinged-out heel counters and weighty, co-branded chains over the laces, creating an opulent aesthetic. Meanwhile basketball and vinyl graphics on the tongues nod to the AF-3’s sports heritage and NIGO’s passion for record collecting.
As with previous releases, each colorway will come in two iterations: one with NIGO branding and an Asia-exclusive OGIN version. These also include the third set of collectible accessories—a pin of the letter “I” and a chenille patch of the letter “K”—which will spell out “NIKE” and “NIGO” when all four sets are obtained.
The accompanying campaign for this launch is centered around a fictional radio station dubbed W-AF3—tying back to the hip-hop theme—featuring NYC’s Jasmine Ruiz and a puppet NIGO as radio hosts, Lil Yachty as a call-in guest, and Slick Rick in the booth.
The NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 Low “Hip-Hop” pack drops April 24th on SNKRS and at select retailers, with an early release on April 19th at 11am JST via Human Made. The white colorway will be more limited, available exclusively via Human Made. Check out both pairs below.
