A classic ’90s basketball shoe is coming back in 2023, the Nike Air Flight Huarache.

First released in 1992, the Air Flight Huarache was a basketball version of the Air Huarache designed by Tinker Hatfield and the young Eric Avar. NBA superstars such as Scottie Pippen and Kobe Bryant wore it on the court, although the model is best known for the shoes worn by the Michigan Fab Five.

According to a report from Complex, Nike is bringing back the OG colorway for the Air Flight Huarache. The colorway was last retro in 2014 and features a predominantly white upper with a blue and purple neoprene bootie on the inside and a black cage around the heel and ankle.

The Nike Air Flight Huarache OG is currently expected to be released in April 2023 at Nike.com and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
