Matthew M Williams’ Nike MMW Slide 005 Launches This Week

Original Story (06/16/22): Shortly after debuting the project in black, Matthew M Williams is now showing off a second colorway for his new Nike silhouette.

ALYX founder and creative director of Givenchy showcased the grey clog-like style on Instagram, and also revealed that the silhouette is known as the MMW ZOOM 5. As the name suggests, this is the fifth collaborative project between Nike and MMW, and the follow-up to MMW ZOOM 4. LIKE THE PREVIOUS SILHOUETTE, THE ZOOM 5 FEATURES A SQUARE TOE BOX WITH A DESIGN INSPIRED BY BRUTALIST ARCHITECTURE. While the first colorway is all-black, this gray colorway features a white and beige two-tone sole unit with chrome details.

Check out the Nike Zoom MMW 005 “Grey” below. The silhouette is expected to debut in the coming months, with a release via ALYX, SNKRS, and select retailers. Stay tuned to MN for further updates.

Update (09/07/22):Nike Zoom MMW Slide 005 will launch “Black” and “Light Bone” on the ALYX website on Friday, September 9th. A wider release is planned for September 23 at SNKRS and select retailers. Check out the official images of the two colorways below.
