Original Story (04/27/22): NEW YORK ARTIST FAUST IS KNOWN FOR HIS MASTERFUL CALLIGRAPHY WORKS THAT CAN BE SEEN ON PUBLIC MURALS AROUND THE WORLD. His elegant style is designed to challenge the viewer’s perception of graffiti. FAUST is now partnering with Nike SB to launch his own Dunk High.

FAUST’s Dunk High features a suede upper at the back with a black leather overlay and an all-black sole. On the left shoe, we see “Sure” and “Faust” embroidered on the side in cursive dripping gold, while the right shoe has a large black tonal “All That Matters” embroidery that wraps around the back of the shoe.

SURE, A CLOSE FRIEND AND ARTISTIC PARTNER OF FAUST, PASSED AWAY IN 2010. The mismatched embroidery on the pair comes straight from the pair’s tags, which can still be found on the streets of New York City.

An extra gold blow is used on the trim of the Swoosh on the inside of the left shoe, as well as on the laces and tips of the laces. Even on the inside of the flaps there are gold “Sure” and “Faust” labels. More artwork can be found on the mismatched insoles, one that says “Sell Your Soul” and the other that says “Sell Your Sole”.
