Original Story (01/16/22): Men’s Fashion Week Fall 2022 has begun. Rei Kawakubo today held the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS AW2022 fashion show at the Charles de Gaulle Group headquarters in Tokyo, showcasing the upcoming Air Max 97 in collaboration with Nike.

Recent COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike collaborations include the Fall/Winter 2021 Air Foamposite One and the upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 Air Sunder Max。 This is followed by two colorways for the Air Max 97, a colorway that’s perfect for celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The Christian Tresser designed model was first released in 1997 with a wavy upper inspired by the ripples created when water drops into a pond.

The first colorway of the CDG HOMME PLUS Air Max 97 features a blue-gray upper with an all-white sole with full-palm visible Air. The second colorway features a covert black-on-black color scheme. Both colorways feature an acid-wash-like design with a double-layered distressed leather upper.
