Original Story (12/31/21): 2022 looks like a big year for the Nike Air Penny series. Penny Hardaway’s first iconic model, the Air Penny 1, is making a comeback with its OG ‘Orlando’ and ‘Home’ colorways. Now a new report suggests that we will also be working with Stüssy on the Air Penny 2.

While several media outlets have previously reported that the project will be on the Air Penny 5, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The Air Penny 2 is Penny Hardaway’s second signature shoe, launched in 1996. It has undergone several renovations over the years, most recently in 2016 for its 20th anniversary. Despite the long collaboration between Stüssy and Nike, this will be the first time the streetwear label has breathed life into an iconic basketball style.
