Original Story (03/25/22):The Air Max 97 is 25 years old. To celebrate, Nike will be bringing back the model’s OG 1997 colorway, including the iconic “Silver Bullet.”

Several other OG colorways will also return, namely “Royal” (aka “Atlantic Blue”) and “Black Volt” (aka “Japan”), although the two have been combined into a single version. This upcoming Air Max 97 most closely resembles the “Royal” colorway, although it features black fenders pulled out of the “Black Volt” pair. The rest of the upper is made up of silver mesh and royal blue nubuck leather. Neon teal trim appears on the Swooshes’ tongue tab and side panels, as well as branding on the heel tab and full-length Air Max bubbles.
