Nike Brings “Celery” Colorway to the Air Max 90

Nike is dropping a new colorway of the Air Max 90 inspired by the classic Nike Air Tuned Max “Celery.”

The Nike Air Tuned Max “Celery” originally released in 1999 and was retro’d for the first time in 2021. It’s remembered for its unique iridescent finish featuring metallic green and copper hues. This shoe served as the inspiration for Skepta’s Air Max 97 collab from 2017.

Interestingly, it looks like Skepta feels some type of way about Nike reusing this colorway on the Air Max 90. The UK rapper took took to X to post a pic of the shoe alongside a caption that reads “LOL.”

The “Celery” Air Max 90 features a black mesh upper with the iridescent overlays throughout and hits of metallic green on the eyelets and tongue badges. A black midsole and gum rubber rounds out the design.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Celery” is set to release on October 15th via Nike.com and select retailers, though they are already available at some retailers like Nice Kicks and Feature. Check out the official images below.
