Nicole Hause is the latest professional skater to receive her own Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration.

The Minnesota native opted for an all-white leather construction on the upper, which contrasts with the truncated light blue plaid Swoosh on the side panel. The heels’ cut-out Nike branding features an additional light blue plaid detail, while the insole and tongue add more light blue accents.

As a nod to skateboarding fashion, the shoe features a silver chain on the left shoe, connected by a D-ring, similar to the chain that Nicole often shakes on pants and jeans. The chain is fitted with a metal charm and is engraved with Nike SB branding on one side and Nicole’s initials and the words “Victory Of The People” on the other. The phrase also appears on the insole, next to which is a hummingbird, similar to the one on the deck of Nicole’s new Real Skateboards professional model.

These details pay homage to Nicole’s passion for bird watching and highlight the parallels between the Greek mythology of both her name and the Nike brand. The name Nicole stems from the Greek name Nikolaos, which is made up of the words nikē meaning “victory” and laós meaning “people.”

The Nicole Hause x Nike SB Dunk Low is set to drop December 12 at select skate shops and December 17th on SNKRS. A release party sponsored by After Hours skateshop will be held in Minneapolis on December 14th. Check out the official images below.
