Nike G.T. Future Revealed in Black

In addition to the red-orange iteration worn by Wale, another colorway of the Nike G.T. Future made its debut during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025.

An all-black iteration was worn by Nike NIL athlete AJ Dybantsa, who took the floor with Utah Prep against Dynamic Prep at the Nike Future Game event in Oakland on Friday. Drawing inspiration from Nike Basketball’s early 2000s archive, the shoe pulls design elements from models such as the Air Foamposite One and Zoom Hyperflight to create a futuristic model with nods to the past.

The G.T. Future is the latest model from Nike Basketball’s Air Zoom ‘Greater Than’ series first introduced in 2021. This line of basketball shoes was designed with specific aspects of the game in mind, separated into three key pillars: Jump, Cut, and Hustle (previously Run). While the G.T. Jump, G.T. Cut, and G.T. Hustle have all evolved with new iterations over the years, the G.T. Future marks the introduction of a brand new pillar to the series.

“The Nike G.T. Future is geared for those players who use their bounce to take over the game, like AJ,” says Nike in a statement. “We look forward to bringing this shoe to hoopers everywhere later this year.”

This black colorway of the Nike G.T. Future is slated to drop Holiday 2025 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
